Privacy Policy

HouseStocked is made by Synergistic Solutions Unlimited LLC ("we"). The short version: your pantry list stays on your iPhone. We do not run accounts or servers that hold your data, and we do not track you.

1.What stays on your device

Your homes, items, shopping list, settings and dismissed recall notices are stored on your device. We never receive them.

2.Optional iCloud sync and sharing

A later version may let you sync across your devices and share a household with family using your private iCloud (Apple CloudKit). That data lives in your iCloud account and the accounts of the people you invite, under Apple's terms. We cannot read it. This is off unless and until you turn it on.

3.Network requests the app makes

• Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org): when you look up a barcode, the app sends that barcode number to find the product name. Nothing that identifies you or your device is added by the app.
• openFDA (api.fda.gov): the app fetches public U.S. food recall data and compares it to your items on your device. Your item list is not sent.

These services receive standard connection information such as your IP address, as any website does, and have their own policies. We send no other data to anyone.

4.What we do not do

No analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no accounts, no third-party SDKs, and we do not sell or share personal information.

5.Camera, microphone and speech

The camera scans barcodes and reads labels, and the microphone and speech recognition turn your spoken words into an item. Camera images, label reading and grocery receipt scanning are processed on your device; receipt and label images are turned into text and discarded, not saved or sent. Speech is processed on your device when your iPhone supports it; if it does not, Apple's speech recognition service may handle it under Apple's privacy terms. We do not store recordings or images. You can turn these permissions off in iOS Settings.

6.Location (store reminders, optional)

Store reminders are off unless you turn them on. If you do, you choose the stores to remember. Their places are kept only on your phone and never leave it. Your iPhone checks only those places, in the background, and HouseStocked shows a note with your shopping list when you arrive. We do not track where you go and we never receive your location. When you search for a store by name, the words you type are sent to Apple Maps to find it, under Apple's privacy terms. You can turn this off in Settings or in iOS Settings at any time.

7.Feedback email

Send feedback shows you exactly what will be in the email, then opens your own mail app addressed to support@housestocked.app. Nothing is sent until you tap Send, and it comes from your email account.

8.Watch, widgets and Live Activities

The Apple Watch app, widgets, controls and Live Activities use a copy of your list shared between your own devices. They make no network requests of their own.

9.Backups and exports

If you export a backup or a CSV, the file goes where you choose to save or send it. You control it.

10.Deleting your data

In Settings, under Your data, you can export everything, see what the app holds, and delete data or reset the app. You can also delete the app to remove its data from your device. You can export a backup first. If you used iCloud sync, you can also remove the data in iOS Settings under your Apple ID, iCloud, Manage Storage.

11.Children

The app is not directed to children and we collect no personal information from anyone.
